 Long shutter speed to look like and album cover for a psychedelic punk band

 In front of the light and therefore looking like a silhouette, could be used to make the artist look mysterious.

 Using studio lighting for the effectiveness of the lights, making full use of the photography department.

 Again using the photography studio in order to get the correct lighting.

 Can tell the difference between a DSLR camera and a standard camera due to the sharpness of the image and such, this is the main problem with using a standard camera.

Double Page Spread Ideas and Influences

All of these ideas will be featured in my double page spread, I especially like the drop caps and the quote that is featured in the middle of the body text as it allows a small break between the large bodies of text. The overlapping image allows for the dps to be quite simple in essence rather than there being too much happening.

Front Cover

This is the final front cover, there is a few things that were in the draft that didn't make it into the final piece. The urban background didn't work as it made everything far too busy and made the text difficult to see, making it look rather amateurish. This therefore made the black and white artist unviable due to the lack of contrast between the artist and the background. 

Feedback and Planning.

Improve: Regularly update my blog with what i have just done in order to attain the grade I desire. Whereas I have the required things to do this I only need to upload these in order to get the required grade.

Planning: Actually publish the work and the array of pictures i have taken. This will greatly improve the grade from only 16% into a much higher percentage. Also the screenshots of the manipulations of the images and how everything was done. I see this greatly improving the grade and percentage of my work.

Planning for on location Photoshoot

The weather forecast for the weekend is good to shoot on whereas the day I initially wanted to get the photos the weather turned against me. Therefore I plan to shoot over the weekend instead to get the best quality and the best conditions.

Initial Draft of Front Cover

The idea behind the contrast of colour and black and white is the idea that the genre of music is an old one and that its quite at odds against the modern day scene. I quite liked the idea of something that looks bold and quite simplistic so I came up with the ideas of short and snappy things that stood out against the background and the foreground images therefore I used large text boxes and bold font in order to create something that stands out. The bands are all garage rock bands with the exception of "The Clamps " that was a band I made up in order to use someone I knew on the front cover.
